La Rambla

New Season Eats At La Rambla

Executive Chef Ferran Tadeo brings in catches from the land and sea for his take on seasonal dining at La Rambla this winter. From an Ozaki Beef Canelon ($180) to Oyster al “Pil Pil” ($85) and Josper-grilled Hokkaido Scallop al Cava ($180), the new additions are sure to hit the spot. We’ve heard great things about La Rambla’s Roasted Ping Yuen Chicken ($680), which features the local, golden-yellow skinned chicken paired with house-fried potatoes and umami-rich buttery homemade morel sauce. And don’t forget dessert, which takes the form of a homemade Golden Donut ($90) with brown butter ice cream, topped with bourbon and berries.

Limited-Edition Festive Specials At The Pizza Project

The Pizza Project is embracing all things festive this month with a special selection of Festive Goodies, available exclusively on Thursday, 24 December to Sunday, 26 December, and Thursday, 31 December to Friday, 1 January. We’re talking indulgent holiday pizzas, including the Contadina with duck breast, pumpkin and gorgonzola, and Truffle Carbonara, which spotlights black truffle paste, quail eggs and parmesan cream, alongside the Costiera – an elevated take on carpaccio with seabass, pomegranate and beet leaves. Shiro’s Crystal Sushi

Sushi fiends, listen up: Shiro is bringing back its menu of showstopping Crystal Sushi. A feast for the eyes as well as the palate, this innovative interpretation balances handmade slivers of delicately flavoured jelly atop flavourful sushi pieces, resulting in a beautifully iridescent surface that’s almost too pretty to eat. There are six creations to choose from, including a fusion-inspired Scallop and caviar with kimchi jelly ($78), a bright Tuna with ponzu jelly ($88) and a Fatty salmon with mint and sake jelly ($68). Honbo x CRFT Pit’s Texas Style BBQ

Summer is well and truly over, but we’re still craving all things BBQ. Enter burger joint Honbo, which is pairing up with artisan smokehouse CRFT Pit this month to bring us a new menu of irresistible smokey Americana eats. Exclusively available at Honbo’s BaseHall location, take your pick from three plates of Texas-style BBQ, alongside a range of moreish sides and sauces. The tender, melt-in-the-mouth signature 7oz Beef Brisket ($222) is a must-try, as are the sticky, fall-off-the-bone St. Louis Ribs ($258). Add on a side of Sweet Spud and Squash Salad and a helping of Esquites Mexi-Corn Salad to make it a true southern feast.

Kyoto Joe

Kyoto Joe’s Hokkaido Weekend Brunch

Forget turkey, if Japanese food is more your thing, make your way over to newly-revamped izakaya Kyoto Joe for its Hokkaido Weekend Brunch ($488). Available until the end of December, get set to feast on magnificent buffet spreads of jet-fresh sushi and sashimi, made-to-order creative rolls, and signatures from the robatayaki grill featuring meats such as A4 Wagyu from Saga, pork from Miyazaki and hanamidori chicken from Kyushu. Though best known for its premium Galician beef offering, Rubia is expanding its horizons this month with the launch of a new tapas menu. This cool December weather calls for all things comfort, so it’s just as well delivery-only concept Hot ‘N’ Meen has added warming dumplings to its menu line-up. A Taste Of Winter At LPM

Iconic French-Mediterranean restaurant and bar LPM unveils new seasonal additions for winter, along with a glorious winter-themed cocktail. Start with a warming Pumpkin Risotto with Cepes, loaded with cheese and butter, before tucking into the flavourful Grilled Blue Lobster ($488) with parsley and chilli, and the crowd-pleasing Grilled Whole Turbot ($1,200), seasoned with  garlic and a splash of lemon juice. Beloved Hollywood Road staple 208 Duecento Otto is ushering in its 10th anniversary, along with a revamped menu of new and improved authentic Italian eats. The restaurant has partnered with Italian fine foods importer New Food Group to source exclusive ingredients, resulting in a menu of dishes made from fresh produce that can’t be found elsewhere in Hong Kong. Think mortadella and prosciutto from two artisans in Modena and Parma; pristine tomatoes, Jerusalem artichokes and sweet friggitelli peppers; and cheeses such as pecorino di Pienza and uniquely-sized balls of burrata. A Fully Vegan Modern Chinese Feast At Miss Lee

Proving that vegan dining can be just as exciting and satisfying as its meat-filled counterpart, Miss Lee invites guests to enjoy its new “De-lee-cious Winter Vegan Menu”. A Diwali Celebration At CHAAT

Cue the lamps and candles, Rosewood’s signature contemporary Indian street food restaurant CHAAT is setting the scene for a Diwali celebration to remember. The limited-edition set menu hopes to transport guests to the bold and vibrant streets of India with a selection of specially-created flavour-packed dishes. Highlights include the beautifully tender Champaran Lamb Curry, alongside the Tandoori Kebab Platter and Dhokla Ki Chaat, a traditional sweet and savoury Gujarati snack made with wheat crisps, pomegranate and tangy chutney. Donate A Meal To Support Those In Need

Dine out to support those in need this month thanks to the Donate-a-Meal Campaign – a brand new initiative which aims to raise emergency funds for vulnerable households that have been affected as a result of the pandemic. The premise is simple: dine out at one of these 27 partner restaurants (including Sassy faves Confusion, Uma Nota, Te Quiero Mucho and more), and opt in to the voluntary $15 donation when paying your bill. It really couldn’t be easier! While it doesn’t seem like much, a little goes a long way; just $5 can provide one meal for a vulnerable person. Chachawan Returns With A Revamped Menu

JIA Group favourite Chachawan makes a welcome return this month, complete with a fresh look and revamped selection of eats. Led by husband-and-wife chef duo Chang and Narisara Somboon, the new menu delivers a sweet-salty-sour-spicy smackdown of flavours, with innovative dishes that serve as a bold rendition of regional Isaan cuisine. As the weather cools, we’re craving all things comfort – and Chilli Fagara’s new claypot menu hits the spot just right. For the uninitiated, these sizzling one-pot dishes come served bubbling in earthenware pots, and kept warm at the table by an elegant flame. It’s a New Year and a host of new menus at Pirata’s MEATS this month. New a la carte dishes at the meat-centric eatery include U.F.C. (Ultimate Fried Chicken, $90), Wagyu Carpaccio ($120), BBQ Beef Ribs ($230), and Truffle Mac & Cheese ($90), though the restaurant’s brunch is also getting a revamp. Available on weekends and public holidays from 12pm to 5:30pm, the MEATS brunch is priced at $248 per person and features one starter, main, side and desserts. Dishes on offer include Duck Salad, Chicken Avocado Toast and even a Vegetarian Burger.

Here to help us indulge this New Year is ThinkWine’s new Sunday brunch! The three-course ThinkBrunch menu is priced from $290, with the option to add a two-hour free-flow wine package (valid until 5pm) for an extra $290, and $130 for an extra hour. Dishes on offer include a French cheese platter or fresh oysters to start, followed by a Mediterranean quiche or the unique lobster and black truffle adorned “Dragon Dog”. To end the brunch, diners can choose between either a chocolate or lemon tart.
